We live in a world where images surround us, there’s a camera in every pocket – often snapping multiple times a day. These moments are captured, but the sheer quantity of them means that mostly they are left to languish digitally and forgotten.
There’s still something special about a piece of artwork to really celebrate and appreciate someone or somewhere you love. Framed and pride of place on your wall where they belong.
I accept commissions for pets, wildlife and landscapes in soft pastels at the moment.
For pet portraits, I like to see several photos. Usually, photos that work well as references are around eye level with the subject and well-lit. If it is a full-body pose then additional photos that are close-ups of the face/other details are appreciated.
Pick photos that really reflect your pet, showing a characteristic expression that makes you smile. If you are local to Angus, Scotland then I can arrange to come and take photos!
For wildlife portraits and landscapes I am usually able to source good references but you are welcome to share your inspiration with me too so I get a feel for what you love about it.
If you’d like to commission a piece of art, email me with details of your project. Once we agree on a reference and schedule, I’ll send you an invoice for 50% payable before I start work. Once it is completed and you are happy with the photos I send you, the other 50% will be due before I send the original artwork.
I look forward to working with you and bringing your vision to life!
